Care access & continuity

Fewer missed visits.
More care delivered.

Our agent Cary finds the visits likely to be missed, learns the reason, and resolves it before the slot goes empty. When a patient truly cannot come, the slot goes to someone who can.

Why visits are missed

Reminders help patients remember.
Most missed visits have another reason.

78%of reported reasons go beyond forgetting.

Transit gap

Transportation

Travel times and transit gaps keep her from getting to the clinic.

Resolved by EnsureCare

Ride arranged

EnsureCare found the transit gap, checked her benefit, and booked a round-trip ride.

How it works

From no-show risk
to resolved.

Patients miss visits because of transportation, language, work schedules, and cost. A reminder does not change any of them.

Waitlist backfill

When a patient cannot come,
the slot still gets used.

Some visits cannot be saved. When a patient cancels, Cary offers the time to patients on your waitlist and books the first one who accepts, so the provider’s time is not lost.

What is Cary?

Cary is an AI care coordination agent that predicts which patients are likely to miss appointments and automatically intervenes. The agent identifies the real reason a patient’s appointment is at risk and intervenes by personalized outreach to resolve the barrier, such as arranging a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) ride for a transportation barrier. Cary works inside a health system’s existing EHR, so care teams and staff do not have to learn a new tool.

What does CAIR stand for?

CAIR stands for Care Adherence Intelligence & Recovery, EnsureCare’s underlying system for predicting and preventing missed care. Cary is the patient-facing AI agent built on top of CAIR.

Is Cary a chatbot?

No. Cary is an autonomous agent that predicts risk and takes action. It does not wait for a patient to initiate a conversation. Traditional chatbots are reactive. Cary identifies at-risk patients proactively and runs the outreach itself.

How is this different from the reminders our EHR already sends?

Reminders help patients who forget, which was 22% of reported reasons in one clinic survey. EnsureCare scores which visits are likely to be missed, asks the patient what is in the way, and works the barrier, such as a covered ride or a new time. If the patient still cannot come, the slot is offered to your waitlist.

Which channels and languages does it use?

Two-way text and voice, in the patient’s preferred language. Patients reply in their own words. They do not need to install an app or log in to a portal.

Does it work with our EHR?

Yes. EnsureCare connects over SMART on FHIR with EHRs including Epic, Oracle Health, athenahealth, MEDITECH, and eClinicalWorks. Barriers, actions, and outcomes are written back to the chart, so your staff sees them where they already work.

Who handles clinical questions from patients?

Your team does. Our agents cannot diagnose symptoms or give treatment advice. Clinical questions, edge cases, and frustrated patients are routed to your staff, and every action is logged, auditable, and reversible.

What happens when a patient cannot come?

EnsureCare offers a new time that works for the patient and releases the original slot. The open slot is offered to patients on your waitlist, and the first one who accepts is booked.

How do you measure results?

Against your own baseline, from your EHR data: no-show rate, recovered visits, waitlist fill time, and staff hours spent on outreach.

Is patient data secure?

EnsureCare is HIPAA compliant and signs a BAA on day one. SOC 2 certification is underway. SMART on FHIR OAuth2 connects your EHR with scoped tokens, and every action is logged.
